Birthday Blessings

Polly's third son Sidney had a birthday yesterday (August 16) and we're all darn glad he did!

As we reach those golden years, we appreciate being able to celebrate these milestones. And Polly loved celebrating birthdays! She would start weeks ahead of time making something for you, finding something for you, cooking something for you, writing something for you, etc. Even after the day had passed, there were still birthday wishes, stories, and places she wanted to go so she could show you something!

In keeping with Polly's tradition, and not letting her footprints fade, sister Jo Nell decided that this was a good day to take to the hills with Sidney. Now that he is a year older, he should be a year wiser (we think). To test this theory, she suggested they collect mushrooms on this outing. No two could be alike she said.

Sidney displays the mushrooms he found.
Jo Nell asked Sidney to identify each mushroom. "Well now, Sis," he said "Why don't we ask our friends and relatives to do that. Let's just take a picture and let them tell us."

How smart are you? How many of these mushrooms can you identify?
Happy Birthday Sidney!
